ABOUT

Born in Sydney, Tiana studied at the New Zealand School of Dance, graduating in 2016 with a Diploma in Dance Performance.


Upon graduating, Tiana has worked as an independent freelancer across Australia and New Zealand, touring nationally and internationally.


She has had the opportunity to work with NZ companies Taki Rua Productions (Tiki Taane Mahuta), Okareka Dance Company (Mana Wahine) on their international tours to the Netherlands, Tahiti, Hawaii, Australia and Canada, Discotheque Dance Company (Missing Lids) and (SUPER, NATURAL), Muscle Mouth (As It Stands), Footnote NZ Dance’s 2020 Choreco Season (New Dance Group) choreographed by Josie Archer and Kosta Bogoievski and Movement of the Human (Belle).


In Australia, Tiana has worked with Kristina Chan on the development of a new duo (Brightness), the final instalment in a trilogy of works and Chunky Move (Token Armies).


As an emerging choreographer and dance maker, Tiana alongside Isabel Estrella were awarded the 2021 Moving Ideas Residency from Readymade Works in Sydney, which they used to explore and develop their new work in progress ‘roach’.
