Amber Haines
Associate Artistic Director
Amber Haines is currently the Associate Artistic Director and company photographer for Dancenorth.
Over the past 8 years, Amber and Kyle Page, her long-time collaborator, have co-directed 9 mainstage works for Dancenorth including Syncing Feeling, Spectra, Rainbow Vomit, Dust, Communal Table, NOISE, World Interior, RED and Wayfinder. These critically acclaimed works have been performed across Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and France including major international arts festivals - Sydney Festival, Brisbane Festival, MOFO, RISING Melbourne Festival, OzAsia Festival, Ten Days on the Island, WOMADelaide and at The Théâtre National de Chaillot Paris.
Drawing from her 20-year dance career, current Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy study and motherhood, Amber holds a deep commitment to embodiment discourse and practice centred around her relationship to nature, community and healing.
