Dancenorth will once again present ‘International Day for People with Disability’ event, celebrating the diversity within our community, with focus on dance as a strong connection to enriching and enhancing lives. 

IDPwD is a United Nations sanctioned day that is celebrated internationally. It aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability and celebrate their achievements and contributions.

Dancenorth's supports creating continued awareness and opportunities towards an inclusive community by embracing the theme for International Day of People with Disability for 2018 which is ‘Empowering persons with disabilities and ensuring inclusiveness and equality’. According to the United Nations, 2018’s theme focuses on empowering people with disabilities for an inclusive, equitable and sustainable development.

This is a FREE event that will performances local organisations Kith and Kin, Coothringa and TCLC and the Tapettes.
