FOREVER YOUNG 50+

WEDNESDAY 9.30AM - 11.00AM

TEACHER: ANDREA dIGHTON

Being active is one of the best ways to boost your odds of aging well, by keeping active you are mentally healthy and free of disease and disability and it helps even if you start late in life. Forever Young Dance 50yrs+ classes assist in becoming more mobile by increasing participant's strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. Movement classes will begin with a gentle stretch, cardio warm-up, moving into balancing exercises, partner/ group work, then into learning basic routines. These classes give you greater control over your movement, as you will learn safe ways of moving in space, which is one way to protect against falls. The classes offer a joyful social environment through which we liberate the heart, in return improves mood, reduces stress, increases alertness and concentration. Dance challenges co-ordination, strengthens the breath, brain and encourages lots of laughter.
